BASA Recreational Program

BASA proudly offers Spring and Fall recreational soccer leagues for youth ages 4–15 (based on birth year). Our program is designed to provide a fun, inclusive, and development-focused soccer experience for players of all skill levels.

Each season runs approximately 8 weeks, with games played at the BASA Soccer Complex on Monitor Road in Monitor Township. While most of our players are from Bay County, we welcome families from Midland, Saginaw, and Arenac counties to join our soccer community.

Season Overview

  • Spring and Fall seasons
  • Approximately 8 weeks per season
  • Games primarily held on Saturdays (occasional Sundays if needed)
  • All games played at the BASA Soccer Complex

U5–U6 divisions play 8 games per season.

U8 and older divisions play 7 regular season games in the Spring (plus a Rec Tournament) and 8 games in the Fall.

Registration & Fees

Registration is completed online only. When registration opens, a button will appear on this page.

  • U5–U6: $85
  • U8 and above: $95

BASA jerseys are required but may be reused if they still fit. Jerseys are purchased during the registration process in a set of two for $30. Jerseys can also be purchased at the pavilion at the complex on recreational game days.

Late registrations will be waitlisted and accepted only if space permits. A late fee may apply. No charges will occur until your child is accepted onto a team.

Age Divisions

Since Fall 2016, US Soccer has adopted calendar-year age group formation (January–December). Please refer to the age chart during registration to determine your player’s division.

Team Formation

Teams are organized geographically based on your preferred school selected during registration. Coaches from each area are essential to forming teams. If a coach is not available in your area, players may be placed in a nearby area with available coaching. Placement priority is based on registration order.

Practices & Games

Practices are scheduled by individual coaches and typically begin no earlier than 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Practices usually last between 30 and 90 minutes depending on age group. Volunteer coaches will also select their practice location from a list of approved locations around Bay County.

Game schedules are released prior to the season. Games are primarily held on Saturdays, with occasional Sundays or weeknight reschedules if necessary.

All games are played at the BASA Complex:

4189 Monitor Road

Bay City, MI 48706
