Referee Assignments & Pay

BASA hosts Recreational, Select (Travel), and Premier-level games.

BASA Referee Assignors manage assignments for:

• Recreational League games
• Select-level travel games (MMYSL)

Premier games are assigned by a regional assignor.

If you are a certified referee and would like to work games at BASA, please contact our Referee Assignors. Let them know that you are certified and would like to officiate games at the BASA complex. They will add you to our pool of referees.

BASA uses RefInsight for referee scheduling and communication.

All referees are responsible for:

• Keeping their availability updated in RefInsight
• Regularly checking RefInsight for game assignments
• Promptly accepting or declining assignments
• Keeping contact information current within the platform

Maintaining accurate availability helps ensure all games are properly covered and allows assignors to schedule efficiently.

RefInsight is also our primary method of referee communication. Please ensure your email address and phone number are up to date so you receive assignment notifications and important updates.

BASA has zero tolerance for referee abuse. Many of our officials are youth referees developing their skills. We expect players, coaches, and spectators to treat referees with respect at all times.
