Crossbar Scheduling and Communication
BASA uses Crossbar to manage registration, team rosters, and game schedules. This is the same platform families use to register for soccer.
Parents can log into Crossbar to:
- View team rosters
- Access game schedules
- Receive team communications
Volunteer coaches may also use CrossBar to schedule practices and communicate with families, as an alternative or addition to texts and email.
Please ensure your contact information is accurate during registration so you receive all team updates.
Practice Scheduling
BASA practices are scheduled by volunteer coaches. Coaches select the day, time, and location that best fits their availability and team needs.
- Practices are typically held once or twice a week Monday–Friday
- Start times are no earlier than 5:30 PM
- Sessions usually last 30–90 minutes depending on age group
Game Schedule
Recreational games are primarily held on Saturdays, with occasional Sunday games if necessary.
All games are played at the BASA Soccer Complex.
Game schedules are released prior to the start of the season, can be found on Crossbar, and are rarely changed unless necessary.
Attendance & Communication Expectations
We understand that many of our recreational athletes participate in other extracurricular activities, and occasional conflicts may arise throughout the season.
Out of respect for volunteer coaches and teammates, parents should notify the coach as early as possible if their child will be unable to attend a practice or game. Advance notice helps coaches plan effectively and ensures a positive experience for the entire team.
Clear communication supports the team and allows coaches to make appropriate adjustments when needed.
Weather & Field Conditions
Soccer is played in light rain and typical Michigan weather conditions. Games and practices are only delayed or canceled if there is lightning or unsafe field conditions.
If lightning is detected, play will be suspended immediately.
Weather-related updates and field closures will be communicated as needed.
