Referee Incentive Program
BASA values and invests in its referees.
The BASA Referee Incentive Program rewards certified referees who consistently officiate Recreational League games during the spring and fall seasons.
Program Goals
This program is designed to:
- Encourage consistent acceptance of recreational assignments
- Support referee recertification costs
- Promote referee development and advancement
- Strengthen officiating quality across BASA programs
Incentive Structure
Referees who meet the following thresholds during the calendar year are eligible for incentive payments:
- 15 or more recreational games: $50 incentive
- 10–14 recreational games: $35 incentive
Incentive payments are issued annually in December through RefInsight.
Eligibility Requirements
- Only Recreational League games count toward incentive totals
- Assignments must be accepted and officiated
- Travel-level games do not count toward thresholds
