U.S. Soccer Age Group Changes

U.S. Soccer has announced a change to player age groups beginning with the Fall 2026 season. The new structure will follow an  Aug. 1 - July 31 seasonal-year cycle, replacing the current calendar-year format. This is a nationwide, mandatory change that impacts all clubs and levels of play (rec and travel). This decision was made based on research, data, and feedback from across the soccer community, with the goal of better aligning players with their school-grade peers.
