Adult Coed Soccer SPRING 2011

BAY CITY IS......SOCCERTOWN!!!

Adult Coed Soccer returns this SPRING 2011 to the BASA fields. The games are open to all parents, coaches of BASA players and their friends. No soccer experience is needed.

Play will begin Sunday April 17th.. at 6:00 pm. On several evenings, the starting time may need to be adjusted due to scheduling of Select and Majors games and the impending earlier sunset.

There will be no set teams. Teams will be organized at the start of play. You can expect to have a different mix of teammates every night. BASA Adult Soccer organizer, Brian Allison, will be on hand to assist with organization.

Which field(s) to use will be determined by the size of the teams, the number of players participating on a given night and the intent of the group. All games will conclude at 7:30 pm. or one hour and 30 minutes after start.

The purpose of this league is to allow adults to experience the joy of soccer, learn the game, build new friends, get a little exercise and have fun. A side benefit will be to gain an appreciation for the talent and effort exhibited by our recreational players each soccer weekend.

Soccer players of all experience levels are welcome. More experienced players can blend in and help others learn some of the finer points of the game. First time players are highly encouraged to give soccer a try. Great sportsmanship is the most important attribute of a player when taking the field.

Every Sunday on weekends that BASA recreational games are scheduled. Be warmed up and ready to break into teams at 6:00 pm. Late arrivals can blend in where needed.

Rules

You must be covered by your own health insurance to participate in the BASA adult league.
Waivers must be signed before participating. Waivers are available to download from the BASA Web site.
$25 fee must be paid at on-line registration with submission of Waiver.
Shin guards are required to play soccer in the BASA facility.
Stay on your feet, no slide tackling. Player safety is a number one concern.
Time of play is determined by game participants.
Absolutely no Alcohol will be tolerated within the complex.
BASA has the right to terminate a player’s participation for violation of any rules.

Guidelines for Play

Wear a White T-Shirt and bring a Black T-shirt or wear Black and bring White. This is an easy way to do teams.
All players must wear Soccer cleats. In no instances will metal cleats, baseball cleats or shoes with toe-cleats be allowed.
For safety, all shots inside the Big box must be low and on the ground (no high shots at goalie).
Off sides rule will NOT be enforced, but please no cherry picking!
Size 5 soccer ball should be used.
There will be no set teams.
There will be no coaches or referees.
